1998 Eagle Talon
1998 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
Rear Viscous LSD
Asking price $9500 OBO
Up for sale is my RARE 1998 Eagle Talon TSI AWD/Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX automatic transmission. If you are looking for at this car listing then you have any idea of the history behind these cars and no need for me to explain. This is the last production year of this particular model in the joint production between Mitsubishi and Dodge/Chrysler. I got my hands on this car earlier this year with the intensions of keeping it as we all know how hard it is to find a good condition DSM, let alone a stock DSM. Life is happening and i can't keep all my toys and unfortunately this one must go. I flew out to Sacramento to meet the previous owner and bought the car and then drove 7 hours straight without any problems. CAR DROVE AMAZING!!!!!!!! The previous owner freshened up the cylinder head/machined/checked all the valves, all new gaskets up top, timing belt, idler pulleys, hydraulic tensioner and new radiator hoses and heater hoses as well. This eagle talon is 99% stock with the exception of the coil on plug set up that is currently installed on the vehicle. Previous owner installed set up and i decided to leave it as is. It actually looks pretty good. Original coil pack will be included with the Vehicle. The interior is complete with no missing panels, new headliner, overall 8/10. The vehicle currently has a clean tittle/no accidents reported on carfax. Also front and rear bumpers/panels are all original. Overall this is an amazing vehicle and whoever ends up with this vehicle is going to be very lucky. This is of the last few survivors of the EAGLE TALONS!!!
Now lets move on to the BAD because every used car has some: The vehicle sat for some time and the clear coat is fading on the driver side. passenger side seems to ok as this side was covered by a tree while it sat, overall in good shape for a 22+ year old car
As you may be aware these vehicles were prone to severe rust. The entire body/chassis is 100% rust free. The vehicle has 3 minor rust spots on the rear trunk hatch which was a very common area the vehicles where affected. According to a few body shops the hatch can be salveged and repaired to maintain original body panel to vehicle. Another easy fix would be to install another trunk/hatch from another vehicle.
Clean tittle in hand, currently registered under my name with tags good until 07/2020
